19/365: Valentines Cake

Today i went to my fave siblings house and we made a CAKE for her fiance, plus one for our parents. This is the one made for Michael, mums and dad's is a bit more organised (because it was decorated by me alone and things have to be spaces equally, this is decorated by the both of us XD very pretty and creative! Today for me is about love to everyone. My (single) friends are a bt bitter about this holiday because it's so commercial but i wonder if they hate it because theyre single. I'm single and i usually hate the commercial of it but yesh, this year it's just about love in general. For me. =) so i was happy to not hate it. and I had so much fun today!

Booyah to me and kyla and our baking skillz =D and to making friends with strangers =P

16/365: WASTED PRINTS

not a great idea or a great picture, just something i did.

i disappoint myself with this project 365! REALLY! I meet such cool, interesting people while at the bar... I SWEAR i'll start taking photographs of them.

at first i was going to take a picture of me holding a black board sign saying "WASTED" (john 2's cheeky/clever idea) but rob told me to move the boards from the bar and over to this worktop thingy and so i forgot and proceeded to write on the boards >.< boo, so yesh, soon i'll take pictures of people i meet and people in my life.

15/365: You told me again you prefer handsome men but for me you would make an exception...

today:
-bar shift from 10:30 till 2pm (though i was 15 minutes late and then ended up doing my shift until 2:40pm
- hung out
- walked custard/ bought a proppa winter scarf and 'laptop gloves' XD

i just realised i called doggy "custard" but her name is (now/for the past few months) been Fanny-Ann.
It really was a lovely walk XD
-hung out mooreeeeee
=D
yum. nice day full of not too many things.

I'm sorry to rush but i have to go to bed and sleep because i got home at half 8pm and tomorrow i have another early shift (YES i think of it as "early". especially when i have to wake at 8am though i'm unemployed and supposedly able to be lazy! grr! why doesn't everyone else know i'm allowed to sleep in!?!??!)

luff my friends on here =)
mwah.

14/365: Generation Pic... again....

Today:
-Niece, eldest sis and grand nieces went home, i didn't say bye, i cant, byes aren't apt or appropriate.
-I got dressed in to my legendary leopard vest, purple top and black jeans and darke eye shadow.
-Got a lift to the tram and then tram to the bar. Felt like crying because I knew it would be nearly a year until I saw my precious kid g.nieces again (aren't you sick of the word "niece" right now after reading my entries? but really, i have a billion i think)
-The bar was fine and sarah was there so we did what we had to but kept wandering over to each other for chats and snacks and genius plotting for my business MWHAHHAAH and a chat about our families =D luffly XD
-Then did stuff on Sarah's laptop.
-Then counseling.
-Then home.
-Then bed.

whew.

miserable sods! my mum has this obsession with "generation photographs" it was just katie (sarah's only 7 weeks old and i had taken the other generation pic when katie was an even smaller baby) mum made me take it again because none of them smiled a year ago. my mum's an awful person to take a picture of- she blinks, smiles, talks, EVERYTHING! and THEN tells me "ooh, i dont like that one, i dont look right"- well stop figeting then! here she's talking to the baby. marisha and katie look depressed, sarah's crying and collettes barely smiling... so, other than the addiction of another person, theyre still the same as a year ago.

13/365: Peppa & George & YouTube

here's my conjunctivitis kid grand niece, Katie, again. She developed said disease all in the space of a day. I chose this picture because I learned more about my nieces. I learned Ketty has low rubella or something and so, Katie and Sarah have low immunity. This day I watched loads of Peppa Pig on You Tube to keep poorley Katie happy and just enjoyed time with the kids. I actually love my grand nieces. I didnt think i'd EVER feel affected by them, but theyre wonderful.

12/365: New Family Member

Today I hung out with the latest addition to my family- my grand-niece Sarah-May. She's about 7 weeks old and an alreet monkey. I winn because today I repeatedly got her to sleep easier than her own mum (my niece) Collette.
Then when Ketty went for a shower and I baby sat, Katie (my older grand-niece) got hurt, then her grandma (my big sister) came home and rather than Katie running to her granny for a hug she came to me! Which is nice because family is a big deal to me and I hardly ever see her/ hadn't seen her in maybe over a year.

The pic is of Katie. Our playing time was FUNN. The tubes became robot arms, telescopes, telephones and flutes.

11/365: Bad to bettererer

Arts on Prescription. Fun + messy + too much coffee= ....emotional somehow. Anyone else get emotional from coffee?

this week, Tuesday I want to go to TAO but I went to my brothers as a favour. Wednesday and Thursday I wanted to go to TAO but I stayed in and looked after my mother. Friday I went to Arts on Prescription and then wanted to go to TAO, instead I went home so my sis could cut my hair, she wasn't there. It was by this time that I was VERY emotional and, after a chat and encouragement with Allanah, I stormed out, went to Notts, hung out with friends at TAO and went between the DIY Poets night and TMH's free gig at SpEasy. I had a fun, odd, busy night =)

10/365: Reading, Comedy Radio and Soup... AND it's not even the weekend! take THAT normality!

Blogs of Note, who puts them there on my "Dashboard"... because I'm not sure I'll be interest in a blog called "Seaweed and Gardenias". This person obviously doesn't know me. But maybe they DO know me and they know my mother's a gardening nerd!

Today I:
-Played with the dogs in the snow a little... too often. *BRRRR!* (see pic for goosepimplies and melting snow on uncovered arms)
-Read
-Uploaded jewellery items- pictures and descriptions to the laptop.
-Fiddled with shiny things.
-Watched/listened to Tim Minchin goodies
-Unpacked £50 worth of shopping >.< grr.

*sigh* I want a hair cut/ couple boxes of dye. Maybe I'll buy said dye and have my sister cut my hair tomorrow.
ALSO! Stefan's birthday on Saturday. Must nip to Argos (booo) tomorrow to pick up his gift.

EDIT:
Andrew Lawrence quote:
I'm an absolute animal in the bedroom department. Essentially, that's why I've been banned from John Lewis- waddling around the shop floor with trousers around my ankles... screaming obscenities, jumping up and down on the bed frames, defecating on the mattresses...
It's a terrible business! I remember one time the shop assistant said to me "Wha... What are you doing!?! Sssstopit! What are you doing? There's none of that- there's no defication in John Lewis!"
I said to him, "Well, the thing is this... the customer is always right."
He said "You're not a customer- you havent bought anything!" I said "of course I havent! Take a look around you, what do you see, hmm? It's all covered in shit!"

Ahem. Sorry. Makes me larf.

9/365: Chocolate Tea Pot

I've been SO bored and felt rather useless today. This morning the sun shining through my window had me energized and excitable and wanting to get ready, go to the tea bar/ run errands/ help in the derelict building...
What happened instead: I read. Knowing that my mother was going to the hospital for some Nerve Block injections (to stop her back pain for a little while) and that she had guilt tripped me the night before into staying in to look after the dogs and to be around when she got home from the hospital in case she would have an accident as a result or effect of the stuff they inject in to her. So, here I am, I semi-made (i didn't want to touch the meat to put it on the bread) dad a sammich for his tea (because he will get home from work, get changed and rush out to his Sing Live EM group, and he's full of cold or flu.
Today I've washed pots, done some tidying, and watched the snow melt slowly and the water it drip rapidly from swirly points of ice and off of the snow covered picnic table in the garden. SOoooOOOOoooOO.... here's my picture:

I took other pictures too- I spent ages trying to capture, with my photo, the water dripping off odd shapes of ice and the glittery rainbows that some times dazzled me when the drops of water were caught in the sun light.... but none of them worked perfectly *pout* so here's my over all favourite. it's our front side garden, one of my old swings and part of the embankment. I think it's very pretty XD Pretty enough for me to go out to take pictures of it while wearing clothes that aren't sufficiently warm enough and a pair of leaky, cloth slippers >.<>

8/365: Not what I expected

Today, I was going to go to the bar, meet with the Cabaret Sorbet crew- be nosy, try to be helpful, be creative and drink cordial *nummy*.
But my brother had a meeting scheduled somewhere between 3 and 5 (though the lady didn't show up til 6) and he didn't want to be alone.
So instead we hung out and chilled out to the maxx (because his apartmentis REALLY cold)... however... I have no pictures from this because my battery dies when it's cold *grrrrr*
So, I get home, realise how icy it was at Stefan's and charged my battery, and... I now give you this:

This is my Josie Monkie a Cavalaire King Charles Spaniel on her royal throne.

7/365: SNOW, noooo sun and TAO

I bought some summer clothes today! Becuase I "had to have them"- that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it. I got them from Dorethy Perkins (they love me and similarly short people and I love them in return) do you like this shirt? Well I bought it an HOUR before they were officially set to take them out the box! MWHAHAHAHHAA because I luffed it on the website. And I bought a couple of these (one in this colour and one in pruple) and this. DON'T HATE ME! I love so much at Perkins right now and now I have a slight summer wardrobe... YES I'm aware it's snowing! SHH! So yeah. I didnt have a hair cut, but i used my Jewellery money for pretty clothes for my ego instead.
ALso, todayyyyy, yum, LOADS of tasty compliments from darling Morag, naughty Elijah, and the Salsa teacher, who I love. Also a compliment from John1, Peter and Jazz (I think her name was).
And I cried at counselling... got emotional >.<
View of the blizzard from the Tea Bar window and three of the Wasted boys' prints! £30 each (shameless plug because I had a nice chat with one of the fellas about the Adam Green gig at Bodega)

Bye
xx

6/365: snow AND sunshine day!

Last night my sister asked me if I wanted to go to Meadow Hall Shopping Centre today to help her pic out her "Wedding Day Jewellery" and THE Wedding Day Shoes, and I said.... NO.
I wish I had gone and helped and had fun but I KNOW I would have ended up spending money on something I BM (Before MeadowHall) had no idea that I loved/wanted. As you know Dear Diar...BLOG, that's nnnaughty in my incomeless state!
SO I stayed in, made more jewellery so that I might have the courage to ask the tiny hairdressers/salon up the street if they'd mind selling any on comission, plus selling at TAO and ask Guilders in Hucknall if they'd mind selling any (though they're already selling jewellery made by another lady) *pout*.
ANOTHER thing I did today when my hands became too hurty from wrapping wire was... TAKE SNOW PICTURES. It became todays addiction to go out each time it snowed (because the weather's been so mood swing-y today) to get a good picture to make up for my last weeks lazy camera habits. And because it takes a while to get crystals, pearls, wire and tools off my lap each time it snowed, I'd just go out in the snow in a band t-shirt, parents slippers and think, cotton, holey pajama trousers *brrrr* so that I would have good photo oppurtunities before the snow slowed down/sun could come out again.

SO! Enough of my sulky chit chat, here's a picture!

SNOWWWW

I was so proud of using macro and getting cool pictures from using such a cool button, but instead I shall post this, which speaks more for itself than the other pics i took in macro.
